Please join us for an afternoon of fun & good times for all!  Come walk and/or help us cheer on the Compassion Walkers!

How does the Arizona Tax Credit work?

To take advantage of the 2016 Arizona State Tax Credit, you must contribute to Vineyard Community Charities no later than April 15, 2017. How much of a tax credit can you claim for contributions to Vineyard Community Charities? Taxpayers filing “individually” may claim a maximum credit of $400. Taxpayers filing “jointly” may claim a maximum credit of $800. If you have already allocated your tax credit this year, your donation in any amount may be tax deductible. Please consult a tax advisor about your individual tax situation.

Here is an example:

  • If you owe $1,000 in Arizona State Income Tax, and
  • You donate $400 to Vineyard Community Charities, then
  • You have reduced your Arizona State Income Tax obligation to $600, and
  • You have received a dollar-for-dollar reduction on your Arizona State Income Tax return

There is no need to take full advantage of the Arizona Tax Credit to be able to contribute. The tax credit is simply another tool for you to be aware of. Any amount below the $400 or $800 tax credit limits can be claimed and will be greatly appreciated!
